BBC Trust listens to the blogosphere
Tuesday, October 16th, 2007Last night we were at the Hellenic Centre in London for a unique experiment. The BBC Trust, undertaking its statutory review of bbc.co.uk on behalf of the license payer is extending its standard consultation process by canvassing bloggers to stimulate online conversations. Market Sentinel has been brought in to evaluate the results of this.
The initiative was launched by an event organised by David Wilcox, Ed Mitchell and Lizzie Jackson from Partnerships Online. The idea of the initiative is to reach beyond getting formulated responses to consultation from the usual suspects, and as JP Rangaswami of BT put it last night, to talk to stakeholders where they are.
